Frequently Asked Questions
A self-guided food tour is a culinary experience where you discover local specialties at your own pace. Guided by a booklet in hand, it includes a variety of dishes and treats to taste in different locations.
Traditional food tours are done in groups, with a guide, at a specific time and pace. With a self-guided food tour, you’re completely free. You decide when to start, how long to stay in each place, and whether you want to complete the tour in one day or spread it out over several days. No schedule, no pressure: just you, the city, and delicious stops along the way!
On each self-guided food tour page, you’ll find a clear list of what’s included: the dishes, treats, and drinks you’ll taste. Every experience also comes with a tasting booklet, your companion for the tour. It includes:
stories about each specialty
the history and background of every artisan
their favorite local recommendations
suggested itineraries
and plenty of fun, useful insights to enjoy the city like a local.
The exact addresses of each artisan are shared after purchase. You’ll receive them directly by email, along with your tasting vouchers. Addresses are also mentioned in your booklet, which you'll pick up on your first stop.
Yes, all tastings are full-size portions, not samples. Unlike traditional food tours, the goal isn’t to try dozens of bites, but to savor a few specialties fully, while learning about their history and the artisans who make them. For dishes, you’ll receive a complete serving, enough to make a proper lunch or dinner.
