Local Flavorists is an independently run project, created and managed by me, Dana.
Its mission is to connect you with the real flavors of a destination, by opening the doors to places residents truly love.
MY STORY
Born and raised in Paris, I grew up in a family where sharing, generosity, and caring for others were deeply valued. I believe this shaped who I am today; someone who finds genuine joy in making people feel good and creating meaningful moments.
After studying business, I naturally found my way into hospitality, working as a Franchise Relationship Manager and supporting hotels across Europe.
And like many of you, I love to travel. Wherever I go, food is always my starting point: a way to understand a place, its people, and its culture. But I often found it surprisingly hard to stumble upon truly authentic spots, the kind locals return to again and again.
I tried different ways of discovering a city through food, yet I rarely found the freedom, intimacy, and depth I was looking for.
That’s what led me to create Local Flavorists: self-guided food tours that connect travelers with passionate artisans, far from the crowds and at your own pace.
