At your own pace, wander through some of Paris’ most iconic neighborhoods: Montmartre, Pigalle, Le Marais and Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and let yourself be guided by flavor. No fixed schedule, no group to follow, just the pleasure of discovering the city slowly.

Along the way, you’ll sit down for a two-course meal built around a famous French classic: the soufflé, in both its savory and sweet versions. You’ll enjoy a true apéritif moment with a generous cheese and charcuterie board paired with a glass of natural wine, just like locals do. You’ll also taste a delicious slice of flan pâtissier, one of France’s most beloved bakery desserts, and soft, buttery madeleines.

What makes this experience special?

Every stop on this self-guided food tour has been carefully selected. These are not trendy spots you’ll find all over social media, but true hidden gems: small, charming places loved by locals, run by artisans with real savoir-faire and a deep respect for their craft. Each address was chosen for its authenticity, its warmth, and the quality of what’s on the plate.

To enrich the experience even more, you’ll receive on your first stop a printed booklet to guide you along the way. Inside, you’ll learn more about what you’re tasting: the stories behind each dish, where it comes from, and why it matters. You’ll get to know the artisans you meet, their philosophy, their craft, and what makes their work special. The booklet also shares thoughtful itinerary ideas, as well as favorite restaurants, walks, and places to explore, all recommended by the artisans themselves.

Who crafted this tour?

Local Flavorists is built around local insight. For this first tour, the addresses were curated by Dana, the founder. Each new self-guided food tour will be shaped by a different local, sharing their favorite hidden gems.

Dana in a few words:

  • Simple pleasure: pausing to appreciate the little things most people overlook

  • A place she always returns to: parc de la Turlure

  • A flavor she never gets tired of: anything buttery and freshly baked

  • Her way of traveling: slowly, with curiosity and an empty schedule
